Singing
Singalong
track:
  • Make sure you practise lots before recording.
  • Listen to the singalong track in earphones while recording and record yourself on a different device. The device which is recording you should only be able to hear your voice.
  • Record somewhere quiet.
  • Stay in time with the singalong track.
  • Look directly into the camera and don't forget to smile!
Piano/Keyboard
  • Make sure you practise lots before recording.
  • Listen to the metronome in earphones while recording and record yourself on a different device. The device which is recording you should only be able to hear your instrument.
  • Record somewhere quiet.
  • Stay in time with the metronome, but you can use any rhythm you like.
  • We're more interested in seeing you than the keyboard - so think about where best to place your camera.
Ukulele
  • Make sure you practise lots before recording.
  • Listen to the metronome in earphones while recording and record yourself on a different device. The device which is recording you should only be able to hear your instrument.
  • Record somewhere quiet.
  • Stay in time with the metronome. We recommend keeping your strumming pattern the same throughout.
  • Look up from your ukulele and directly into the camera as much as you can and don't forget to smile!
Guitar
  • Make sure you practise lots before recording.
  • Listen to the metronome in earphones while recording and record yourself on a different device. The device which is recording you should only be able to hear your instrument.
  • Record somewhere quiet.
  • Stay in time with the metronome. We recommend keeping your strumming pattern the same throughout.
  • Look up from your guitar and directly into the camera as much as you can and don't forget to smile!
